McDonald’s Career Day
The first McDonald’s Career Day is over. I am writing this blog with a very good emotion, as it was a successful day - even when looking at the numbers: 26 people participated in the five sessions. More than we expected!

Travailler pour McDonald’s est une expérience unique. Mardi j’étais à la remise de l’award Great Place to Work et comme toujours on m’a posé la question est-ce que McDonald’s est vraiment un Great Place to Work. OUI ! Et non seulement, c’est l’entreprise où je me sens comme chez moi, où le terme McFamily a réellement du sens et où les personnes, toutes les personnes sont entendues.
The quest for the next blockbuster
Finally we have the results. Jirina analyzed the page impressions of the McDonald’s blog articles. Guess what, my editorial about the Monopoly was the most read blog article. That gave me immediately the motivation to write a second article. I love results and now I know for sure that over 300 people have read my first article so far. That’s more than I have expected. Can you see me smile?

…one more of my favorite Ray Kroc quotes. Even if I would like to complete this one by adding “…and train” – for this blog it’s a perfect introduction. On Tuesday, May 15th we’ll have a premiere at McDonald’s Switzerland: a “Career Day” at our restaurant in Crissier. Goal of this day is to inform anyone interested in a career at McDonald’s, in the system gastronomy, about our development possibilities. Or, in other words, we are looking for the restaurant managers of tomorrow!
Wenn sich die Welt trifft.
An der Worldwide Convention von McDonald’s in den USA hat der letzte Tag begonnen. Ab Freitag werden die rund 30‘000 angereisten Personen wieder in alle Teile der Welt zurück reisen. Wir haben viel gesehen und hatten auch Zeit, uns mit Kolleginnen und Kollegen aus anderen Ländern auszutauschen. Die Stimmung war die ganze Woche hervorragend und es herrscht eine grosse Zuversicht, was die Zukunft betrifft. Klar ist, dass die „Areas of the World“ und auch die Ländergesellschaften weiterhin über grosse Autonomie verfügen werden. Schnelle und dezentral getroffene Entscheide als wichtiges Erfolgsrezept bleiben somit bestehen.
